Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India
My uncle passed away ( my father's brother) , he considered me as his son (he did not marry and was staying with me , my wife and kids ) and left a will. He left me a property which was in his name , the will was made about 15years back so is it necessary to probate the will ? and i'm a citizen of new delhi .

even though a will is there in your name, but it needs to be probated by the court of competent jurisdiction. after you get the probate/succession upon the will, you may get the property mutated in your name.
