Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

I am unmarried roman catholic, Indian christain woman 37 years, looking after my father and after him, i want to keep my father's house and all his belongings and not share it with my two brothers. who are living separete, can this be done legally. Can they come to fight for same?.

You can ask your father to Gift the property to you in his life time. This would prevent your brothers to fight with you at a later stage.

Yes u can get the same by two modes

1. Ask ur father to execute a gift deed but this will cost to big stamp duty equally chargeable on sale deed. This property must be self acquired property of ur father

2. Ask ur father to execute a registered will which will bre operative after his death.
