Will

My mother wants to write a Will in my name, beneficiary as me only as I am her only son. Is it required to register the Will in the SDM court and are Wills legally valid in future if they are not registered

Registration of Will, though not mandatory, advisable.

SMD Court is not the place to register. Registration of Will is done under the Registration Act by the concerned Sub-Registrar of Assurances.

A will is valid without registration. However, if you are her only legal heir, you may not require any will to inherit your mother.
