good evening

well take along with your affidavits and the papers when you changed your name and about the penalties you have to report the income tax office because they are aware how much tax you are liable for!!!

Re: change of name not reported

well, you must have had your name changed giving an affidavit before the concerned Magistrate/RDO.But the question is not quite clear about your submitting the income tax returns before due dates. Therefore if you have filed your returns in the same old name in all the years till date then you have to now voluntarily disclose your right name with all papers that formualted the change.Mention the reasons why you were unable to disclose your changed name to the authorities and if the reasons seem proper and fit then there would not probably any penal action against you.If you have not at all filed any returns since then, then there would not be any criminal actions against you, except the penalties to be levied by the income tax authorities for not filing the returns properly provided you have taxable income in all these years.
