gift transfer a house to a family memeber

would like to know -my husband would like to gift transfer the house in his name to mine- do you have any specific gift transfwer forms or do you need to make a gift deed- if so is that sufficient and with that can i register in my name or he needs to run around to the register office doing it in person.

There would not be any such specific form as the Gift tax act does not provide any such kinda.Your hubby can write a gift deed in your name and can register it and yes ofcourse without going in person to the Sub-registrar office(unless you are a sick person who cannot walk or such an old aged person who cannot get outa bed)how can you think you can get the deed registered.
