We are the manufacturer of Generators. We are upgrading our computerisation in designing of our product. For that we have procured Computer and its periphirals including software for the designing and storage of information of the product. We have received the work station for the [hardware] for the above functions. we have paid Karnataka VAT @ 4% on the purchase of above work station. Are we eligible to take the input credit since we bought this and used for the purpose of business ?

yes you can avail of ITC provided if you resell the goods you purchased and not for mere usage for doing your business.
