Re: service tax
Service tax is to be paid by the Licencee at the rate of 12.36% on the Gross Rent, it is an indirect tax levied on him, please collect this months service tax within next month of 5th day. and pay the same to the Department,
You are exempted from paying or collecting the service tax if it does not exceed totally from all sources Rs. 8,00,000/- (rupees eight laksh only) but if you cross seven lakhs then you have to register and claim exemption from the department.
