Service Tax Liability: Is Service Tax liablity a individual liability or a family liability where the business is a propreitorship concern and the individual is not in a position to pay off the liability. The individual does not have any asset on his name and is 65 years old. His other income is his pension. What are the options available for him?

Its an individual liability and therson who offer such service is liable to pay the service tax irrespective of his not having any assets or other incomes.But some services are exempted upto certain extent of amounts.
