hi. just wanted to know a few things. am undergoing divorce proceedings and in the interim, the court has ordered maintenance allowance to be paid to me by my husband @ Rs 15000 per month and 4 lacs as child support payment. I am investing both these in FD etc. The 4 lacs will be in the childs name. what i want to know is that wheteher these will be taxable income. if yes, is there a provision that the parent who earns more pays the tax. Please advice.
