You may first examine your requirements; what benefits are you seeking by effecting a change in your existing system ?

It may be better to run your small school the way you are doing, unless there is compelling reason to change it to a Trust. It may cost you some money and you may have to give away your control. The issue of benefits will come later. First you need to consider : why you want to change the existing arrnagements?

Existing set up should be not be converted into other one unless there is proper reason. Trust can be formed under Trust Act, but keep in mind audit will become necessary for Trust.
