Family settlement

Is family settlment between own brother's son and uncle (father's brother) should be Registered, as per Tamilnadu Regn. Act or as per Indian Law. Please give your opinion.

Registration of a family settlement is optional. it is not required to be registered. the writing is enough; however, for changing title in government records, you may want to get it registered, if the authorities so insist.

In fact the family arrangement is not required to be registered , however for once for all the registration solves the problem and the parties can't generally dispute the same so better to have registration
