Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in India

My father died recently due to his illness . My family doesnt ve any will left by him .

How can we get to know weather he ever made a will or not ?

Kindly give a discriptive answer.

If there is no will; the best course for you will be to make an application in the court, having jurisdiction over the place where you reside, for grant of succession certificate in respect of your father's estate.

This will require names and details of all legal heirs of your father; nd the ways the property is to be divided between the legal heirs.
