Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in India

My father-in-law inherited agricultural property from his father through a will. He was an NRI for 20 years and never used the land.His sister did farming on the land all this time. Now he has returned to India and she is trying to block his sale with a court case. Does her case have merit? He has been fighting it in court for over 2 yrs. They are christians.
