Female rights on succession/inheritance
We are hindu's by birth. We are 2 sisters and 1 brother.
My husband is a christian.
My father has 2 properties.
house(inherited from my Grand father, worth 1.5 crores)
site(self acquired from saving, worth 1 crore). My father plans to give the house to our brother, and then give the site to the 2 sisters.
Brother: 1.5 crore
Sister1: 50 lakhs
Sister2: 50 lakhs.
Should all of us get an equal share in the property?i.e. 250/3= 83 lakhs each? Please suggest.

As per the law you get an equal share in case of an ancestral property and in case of an self acquired property it depands on the sole discretion at the persons will and consent.

Sisters have equalright of inheritence in ancestral property but in case of self acquired property,your father is free to give it to any person of his choice.

In respect of inherited property all of you are entitled to an equal share.
In respect of self-acquired property it is upto your Father's Will.

you will get equal share in ancestral property self acquired property you father can decide whether to give it to you or to any other person
