Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in India
My grandmother made a will and which is registered in 2008. According to the will, property will be given to my father only. Now my uncle(father's brother) has sent us a court summon. Will that be valid and will my uncle can challenge the registered Will of my grandmother?

Dear Sir / Madam,
Your father should obtain a Probate from the Court and get the property transferred in his name. Your uncle is entitled to challenge the Will in Court, but your father should reply with the actual facts.

Lot of facts needed, did your father obtain probate? If yes, then he can go an defend based on that. If no, he has to move court to obtain Probate, and also defend him in the Court.
