Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in India

Indian Inheritence problems if US citizen?

I am eligible to apply for citizenship in the US and wish to do so, but before I do I had a few questions. If I become a US citizen will I encounter problems with any inheritence (property, money, etc...) that my parents plan to leave me after they pass away? Will I be taxed at a higher rate than a citizen of India? Do you forsee any other issues? I also plan on applying for an OCI card after I become a US citizen. Will this make a difference? Thank you in advance for you help and advice!

There will be no change or effect to your right of inheritence and your tax liability will be same as of an Indian citizen.so, go ahead.
