Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in India

Legal Advice

Dear Sir,

I am Indian citizen residing in Mumbai and I intend to purchase the immovable property from the American citizen who has handed over General Power of Attoney notarised by Notary Public in California to an Indian. I would like to know whether the same can be used by me for the purchase of apartment/flat in Mumbai (India) without getting further attested by Californian court? Please advise.

Thanking you.

Re: Legal Advice

i think that there is no problem

do one thing that take the property details and inspect the records of the property and do some other search also ... only then go for it

goodluck

Re: Legal Advice

It is a risky matter.Ask the person to get the POA registered in Bombay. It is advised that you consult a local lawyer with all details.I have associate at Bombay so if you need their service then contact with all details.Professional charges are applicable.
