Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in India
power of attorney
we have given power of attorney for some financial consideration to two persons to represent us in a probate case .they wish to buy the our share of the property after they win the case. but they have not as yet represented themselves in court but are pressurising us to attend all court hearings. why are they doing this / In case we lose can they file a cheating case against us ?How can we safeguard ourselves against them ? .

Re: power of attorney
No they can't file a case of cheating against you as they are acting only as your power of attorney and they can buy the share only if you win so the contract is conditional and another thing is they have not so far represented themselves in court.
