What is the process for property transfer under legal heirship?
We have a 1RK flat in Kalyan, suburbs of Mumbai. It was owned by my Mom. After her death two years back, we have filed an application in Civil court to transfer the ownership rights to my father.
1. Can we sell the property before the transfer happens, where my father can sign as owner?
2. Do we need to re-register the property again for the new ownership by my father?

you need to file a petition for succession to the said flat for legal heirship.
