Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in India

Revocation of Will

Respected Sir,

My father had written two wills in his lifetime. Earlier one was registered in court i.e it is a ''registered will'' but later on he made another notarised will after 7 years of registered will. In notarised will he had clearly mentioned that i revoke the earlier registerd will. My question is which will be executed now or which one is valid? For your informationhe made these wills in Dehradun,Uttrakhand,India.

In law a will later in time is the last will and need to be executed. The previous will, even though registered, if superseded by the testator, it has no legal force.
