Can a grand daughter has a share in grand father's ( mother's dad) ancestral property...

If so can mother of the grand daughter deny that right in any way ?

If the granddaughter is minor ..can the granddaughter's father file a case on behalf of her ?

Re: Share in grandfather property

normally incase of female the property devolves upon the legal heirs of the deceased female ( say grandmother) .. after her death, the mother gets a share. As long as she is alive it her absolute property! she can do any thing with it! only after her death(that to without writing a will)the legal heirs, the husband, sons and daugheters(the grand daughter or grandson) get the equal share! There is no as such any right to the granddaughter.. as matter of fact.. while the grandmother or the mother is alive! then where is the question of filing a case by the father on behalf of the minor daughter! sir it is not absolutely possible!

Re: Share in grandfather property

Till such time the mother is alive, there is no question of grand daughter having ideas about the property of granfather.
