sucession act

My father died in1936 leaving my mother and two sisters. i got a property from court alloted directly in my name when i became major in 1949 from our ancestors trust which closed . as that time law prevails that only sons can be the owner in absence of father . anyhow my mother died in 1989. now my widow sister living with his son claiming his fathers share. can she get the shares as todays date.as i heard that such claim can not be made after 12 years and also sucession rights arises at the time of fathers death and the prevailing law. so pls guide me by giving your valuable advice

You have heard rightly; At this stage she may not be entitled to any share in the property of your father who died in 1936 .
