Type your question here...my father died and we had a home as the only property of ours , I ve read the registry of our home but i dont see any nominee in it .
I want the home to be transferred in the name of my mother and me as a nominee.
apart from this we lived in a nuclear family .
kindly tell me the best possible solution for which i should go

The ownership of the property will devolve upon all surviving legal heirs of the deceased.
You should make an application in the court, having jurisdiction, for grant of succession certificate stating names of all legal heirs of the deceased; and also stating that the legal heors have no objection to the property being transferred in the mother's name.

yes, you need to apply for succession of the house and in case the same is a joint family property, the NOC from other coparceners is required.
