Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in India
My uncle had made a will favoring my sister about 3 years back. She has now got married and my uncle has made a new will of lately. Does the old will get cancelled automatically? The new will is in my favour. Does he have to inform my sister of the new will? If my sister had got the old will registered, can that be revoked then? Also, could my sister have got the old will registered without the presence of my uncle in the court/ sub registrars office?

the new will, preferably, should give detail of revocation of the old will. In the new will, it is also important to give reason as to why the will is being changed. Ofcourse, the latest will is a valid will. If the first will was registered it is suggestive to register the second one. there is no need to inform the sister. the old will get revoked by the new will. No. Uncle will have to appear to get the will registered.
