Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in India
A will was made by my relative about 3 years back. He has now made a fresh will. Does the old will get cancelled automatically? Does he have to inform the benificiary of the last will about the new will? If the old will had been registered, can that be revoked then? Also, could the new will be registered without the presence of my relative with his power of attorney? Since the old will was registered, should the new will also be registered to make it authentic?

the old will gets cancelled automatically and there is no need to inform the beneficiary of old will. registration is always done in the presence of testator otherwise it cannot be registered. in these facts, new will may be forged.
