Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in India

wills

My father is the Registered owner of five different properties A B C D & E in the city of Hyderabad at five different places.Hehas executed a will deed for the A schedule house property dated 25-07-2002. Again he has executed B schedule property on 17-02-2003. Again he executed C schedule property on 01-01-2005 Like wise he executed 5 different Registered will deeds for each of the properties. Is all these will deeds valid in the eyes of law or he has to execute all the five properties in one will deed?

Re: wills

Generally, a person make only one will for disposition of his/her property(ies) to avoid any confusion after his/her death.

Your father has made 5 wills for different properties, technically he is not wrong. It depends upon the language he has used in them like the later 4 wills are codicils to the first one or are they independant of the first one.

But to me, this is like creating confusion and asking for trouble.

Re: wills

Pl confirm whether the other four are Wills or Codicils. Any way it will be valid in eyes of law.
