Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in India

While writing a will, my father in law has come across an item "no contest clause", which seems to be prevalent in western countries. Is this clause valid in India.is it considered as legal to put this clause in a will ?. Our advocate is against this hinting that it is illegal to put such a clause. appreciate a clarification. Thanks

Hello,

Western countries allow such clause have relevant law supporting it.

Even if such clause is added, still the said Will can be contested on various other grounds.

In your case registration of will is sufficient.

Thanks
