Legal Question in Workers Comp in India
Am working in a National Institute of Naturopathy, pune which is a central Govt organisation, as a outsourced contract employee. Am a naturopathic physician. Am working here since march 2011. Now am due to my date and when i asked for the maternity benefits the higher officials in the central govt organisation said me that the outsourced contract employees are not eligible for such benefits and only leave can be provided without any financial benefits that is my pay. they told me that my position can be withheld till am back. And even for this I have to provide them a medical certificate. I am wondered because maternity benefit should be given to all women but I am not given. Please help what to do in this case? Whether am really not eligible for my benefits.I am really upset. As naturopathy is a very small community in india, i also fear if I ask anything regarding this my future career will be affected. So please help me sir..
