Legal Question in Disability Law in Indiana

Disability Accomodation

The company I was working for would not accomodate my disability restriction. Therefore, I have suffered ongoing medical problems. I was also harrassed because of my disability, and this has affected all aspects of my life including medical. It also seems that it is hard to find representation because of the size of the company.

This is time sensitive and I would appreciate any info you can forward. Thank you

Re: Disability Accomodation

Hard to get a handle on your circumstances. A company is not necessarily required to provide an accomodation for you -- only a "reasonable" one, and then only if you're a "qualified" individual with a disability. There are some standards (hoops) that have to be met. Perhaps the company felt you didn't meet the standards under the law. No way to tell. Also, there's no way to evaluate your kind of a case via email or on a BB like this. You're going to need to speak directly with an attorney experienced in this area of the law. Suggest you meet immediately with such a person because the time clock is ticking and there are deadlines that must be met, else you lose your right to raise a claim.
