Legal Question in Disability Law in Indiana
job accommodation
My husband has retinitis pigmentosa and is losing his eye sight. He currently has 40 degree vision out of 180 degree and has complete night blindness. He is a manager for a major company in Indiana. In the past, the managers have done an evening rotation in their schedule. My husband has requested a job accommodation to work daytime hours because of his night blindness and has provided documentation from a specialist confirming the disability. His employer has turned him down. Who is right?

Re: job accommodation
His employer must provide an accommodation (although not necessarily the one requested) as long as it is reasonable and not unduly burdensome. Whether or not a reasonable accommodation is available is a fact intensive question and would require that we meet to discuss the matter in more detail.
