Legal Question in Administrative Law in Indiana
My aunt Mary and her partner Penny purchased a home with the mortgage only in Penny's name. They have since broke up and Mary is buying the house on contract from Penny. Unfortunately Penny has passed away and her two sons want nothing to do with the home. My aunt is having trouble getting assistance because Penny is deceased and she really could use the help since she only receives less than $700 a month to live on. In order to receive heat assistance she needed Penny to sign stated she is the landlord of which she was denied since Penny is deceased.

This inquiry is too complex for this forum. Your Aunt should contact Indiana Legal Services or the Pro Bono office in her judicial district. I would think that if she qualifies for assistance, she would qualify for free legal work.
