Legal Question in Administrative Law in Indiana
a given lawyer sent my lawyer a lrtter that stated she would file it with the court as soon as it was singed by me. i did and left town . years later i discovered she did not file it . is she liable for damages (money) that ive had to pay because it wasnt filed?

Possibly. Although, if the paper was that important, a valid argument can be made that you or your attorney were negligent in not confirming that the filing took place.
