Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Indiana
In 2004 we filed Chapter 7. Our legal documents reflect our intention to not file on 3 items, one being our home. Now, 2012 we tried to take advantage of the HARP. Unfortunately, our bank states we never signed their document claiming reaffirmation, therefore we are not eligible. Our home will not reappraise enough to meet our debt. My question: I've heard that we could actually walk away from this home without repercussion. Is this true?
