Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Indiana
Using address If I file
If I were renting a house in a different town while still owing on the home I own, can I file using the rented address? It is posted in the local paper and I don't want my address in. Or is there any way of not getting my name and address put in?
Thank You

Re: Using address If I file
A bankruptcy must be filed in the district where you have lived for the greatest part of the past 180 days. You must use your current residential address and disclose all residential addresses for the past 2 years. There will be no way to avoid the publication if it is the policy of the local paper to publicize a bankruptcy.
