Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Indiana
Chapter 7 Bankrupty Protection
I purchased tickets from a ticket broker in May 02 for a Sept 02 event.
I am in NJ and the broker is in IN.
I received notice yesterday that they are filing Chapter 7 bankruptcy and the courts would notify me in a few weeks.
My credit card company says I can't dispute the charge because too much time has gone by. Do I have any way of getting my money back??? It was $517.00 total.

Re: Chapter 7 Bankrupty Protection
The credit card company may be mistaken but you should read your cardholder agreement regarding disputed charges-Under the facts you described, the fact you paid for them in May isnt the effective date-it should be when you did not receive the tickets. I would continue to hound the credit card co. and pursue them-you wont get anything out of the sellers ch 7 BK
