Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Indiana
Differences
I filed bankrupcty (13) a few years ago. My husband was injured at work, without comp ins. and we defaulted on the bankruptcy. They DISMISSED it. What is the difference between a discharged and a dismissed bankrutpcy?

Re: Differences
If you were discharged it means you successfully completed your BK and your debts are no longer owed. A dismissal operates as if you never filed and you still owe the debts except to the extent you paid some in the Chapter 13. You still owe the debts and the creditors can still come after you for their money.
