Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Indiana
Discharged items not contested
I have a vehicle that I chose not to reaffirm. My case has been discharged and the vehicle was not contested. I have not been contacted by the bank where the loan is in effect. Since it was not contested, will they be able to come and get the vehicle now that my case is over and I am clear of debts?

Re: Discharged items not contested
Yes. You should contact the financing institution to arrange for repossession. If you do not surrender the vehicle and it is damaged and there is no insurance on it, you could be liable for the value regardless of your bankruptcy. If you had an attorney for the bankruptcy, have him contact the bank to make the surrender arrangements.
