how often can you file. Can I put credit cards on. Which should I file 7 or 13

You can file a Ch 7 8 years after another Ch 7. You can file a Ch 13 4 years after a Ch 7 and 2 years after a Ch 13. Chapter 7 is prefered route b/c its the cheapest and quickest to do and it discharges all your unsecured debt. In a Ch 13 payment program you pay all of your secured creditors and typically a small portion of your unsecured creditors.
