Filing bankruptcy on a legal judgement
If I sue someone for damages caused to my vehicle in an auto accident and I win can the defendant file bankrupcy to avoid paying the judgement???

If it was a drunken-driving accident, no. That is not dischargeable in bankruptcy. He would have to pay that judgment.
If it was NOT a drunken-driving accident, yes. He can file for bankruptcy protection on the debt, and you're out of luck.
