Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Indiana
filing on a leased vehicle
My attorney told me that if I filed on a leased vehicle the leasing company would come and take the vehicle away. I can't remember if I filed on my vehicle but I did list it. and I'm not sure if I signed a reaffirmation. Am I still obligated to keep this vehicle until my lease expires or can I request the creditor to retrieve it. My bankruptcy was discharged already.

Re: filing on a leased vehicle
Your atorney didn't tell you that because it's not true,; you liley misunderstood. If you are current on yur vehicle, you can keep it. If you are not current, they will come and get it. It doesn't matter that you leased it or not in a bankruptcy.
