Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Indiana

Judgement filed during Bankruptcy process

My friend filed bankruptcy 2 yrs ago. We are buying a house and during title search discovered there is a judgement against him from a creditor. The judgement was filed in March-his bankruptcy began in February and this creditor was named in the bankruptcy. His credit report states the debt was charged off - but the judgement has not been released. How does he correct this? Is the judgement valid?

Frequently the credit reporting bureau will correct its record if it is provided a copy of the creditor list of the bankruptcy. Otherwise your friend need to contact his bankruptcy attorney for assistance.
