Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Indiana
not legally separated but need to file
I left my husband over a year ago but we have never legally done anything. We have to file bankruptcy. But how will us living apart and not being legally separated affect that ?
thanks

Re: not legally separated but need to file
It depends upon whether you choose to file separately or jointly. It is less expensive to file jointly. All that is different in your situation is that you include 2 budget pages - one for you and one for him. Otherwise the forms are the same.
