Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Indiana
Marrying Into A Chapter 13
My fiance filed a Chapter 13 about 2 years ago and is still currently in the chapter 13. We want to get married before the bankruptcy is discharged. How will this affect our financial life? Will my income play any role in his chapter 13? Will his payment to the trustee increase if we get married?

Re: Marrying Into A Chapter 13
This would be a good question for your fiance's bankruptcy attorney. I don't think your marriage should affect the bankruptcy proceeding. Just be sure to keep your finances separated until the bankruptcy case is closed. For more comfort about the question, ask your Chapter 13 trustee.
