Legal Question in Business Law in Indiana
association dues
My association board members have decided to start charging 20.00 per week if you are lste on your dues. They feel every company does this some way or another, when my bank, light company, any business of this type just charges a fee once a month for being late as your mortage company does. I feel this is a unlawful way to charge and would like to know if this is really legit to be able to do this

Re: association dues
I know of no statute that prohibits this and if the Board voted to pass the measure it is legitimate and they followed the by laws the late fee is legitimate.
