Legal Question in Business Law in Indiana
i bought a car about 2 weeks ago from a friends dad. we had originally agreed upon 1000 for it. i gave him 580 when he brought the car and was going to pay him when my husband got his paycheck in a couple days. he dropped off the car took the money and signed over the title to me. the only things he disclosed about the problems with the car is that the windshield had a crack on it and the transmission needs stop leak and fluid and itll run fine. about a week ago we found out that the windshield wipers dont work, i have to buy a new transmission and i have to replace everything when it comes to the brakes and the brake line. i've taken it to 5 different garages and they've all said the same thing. and i have documentation from them stating everything and that theres no possible way he couldn't have known that all these things were wrong when he sold them to me. i've tried to contact him almost every day several times during the day. and i have my phone records that show it. i need to know if its worth suing him or should i just take the loss?

You'll probably end up spending more money and time than its worth. Chalk it up to experience.
This is a small claims case. I believe that it will cost you less than $100 to file. It seems to me that it is worth a shot.
