My business partner sold our business, how do I get my money?

You would first have to figure out what the value of the business was, and what comprised the business. Was it goodwill, assets, client list? If you can put a dollar figure on the "business", and if you really had co-ownership, then you can demand your share of the sale proceeds. If he doesn't respect your demand, you can take him to court for an accounting, but the amount has to be worthwhile because such proceedings are not cheap.
