Legal Question in Business Law in Indiana
Charging for extra without telling
Hello, I recently hired an electriction to move a spot light on my house. After the job was complete he offered to put an electrical outlet outside, and we aggreed. When the bill came he charged us for both procedures, but never informed us that there would be a charge for putting the electrical outlet outside of our home. So the question is that is it legal what he did by offering to do something, not tell us there would be a charge, and then charge us for it.

Re: Charging for extra without telling
Since you authorized the extra work, you have to pay for it. There are some exceptions to this rule, but I doubt they apply in your case unless the charge for the extra work is far above the usual price for such service, "for the laborer is worthy of his wages." So open your purse with a cheerful heart and thank the electrician for improving the quality of your home.
