Legal Question in Business Law in Indiana
Computer Systems and Business Information
Hello - something I haven't been able to find info on - if a company (ABC) has a customer contact/crm type system where no transactional data is stored - but just where free from information is stored about a business customer (XYZ)(B2B to world) - are there things in which ABC should be careful about documenting about XYZ? For example, if XYZ has credit issues, is there something that shouldn't be said which would set company ABC up for a lawsuit?

Re: Computer Systems and Business Information
What you are putting into your system sounds fairly typical for a CRM system. Kept private there is no liability. Not kept private and the material is defamatory, then you will have trouble.
