Legal Question in Business Law in Indiana

Hello! I own a corporation in Indiana performing training and consultation services. I recently decided I wanted to start a division of my corporation and devote it strictly to community based emergency response and other misc programs. I want to be able to use this organization to solicit donations from the community while donating 10% of all profits my corporation earns to support and grow this division. This division will help with soup kitchens, toy drives, disaster response and so on... (I am a For-profit Corporation)

This is my question: Can I legally use funds that I have solicited (or my employees) and donated from the main division of my corporation to fund the training of my volunteers when this training is being provided from the same corporation?

You are needlessly causing yourself complications and issues, not only as to your corporate limitations but probably as to taxes as well. Your best bet is to set up a second not for profit corporation rather than a division. Keep all of these things separate. You should really be consulting with your corporate attorney on this rather than trying to make this a home improvement project.
