We were wondering if a ''C'' corporation could be a shareholder in an ''S'' corporation and vice versa?

Re: Corporation Shareholders

Under most circumstances, a shareholder of an S-corp must be a natural person - i.e. - not a corporate entity. There is some additional information on this topic located on my blog at http://bvplegal.com/indianapolis-business-law-blog/.

As always, I recommend that you contact a business attorney for advice regarding your specific situation.
